When we received the call that our dearest client (RR) wishes to celebrate her 90th Birthday in Israel, we were thrilled. After all, we all know and have admired this lady for over a decade.
The reception was in the style of “little Tel Aviv” (20th Century Tel Aviv, in the 1930′s+40′s). We brought this ‘little Tel Aviv’ concept to life by creating a ‘Gazoz’ stand and using a mild but elegant garden design, just as TA’s caffe’s of that period.
In the main event hall we named each table after a city that was of significance to RR and the menu was to order with her favorite dishes.
The program included greetings by some of Israel’s leading figures, whom have been acquainted with the birthday girl for over a jubilee. An Israeli-Swiss-French co-production of RR’s movie was shown. This movie acted as a fine example to us all and a fabulous lesson of how to reach the age of 90 with sparks of a 20 year old.
The celebrations continued after dinner with a performance by ‘The Great Tish’ band. They really got the party going with a marvelous selection of old and new Israeli songs. Then, once the giant birthday cake, with the figurines of all of her 24 descendants, was presented, the party continued with sing-a-long songs, which lasted all night.
